_The 51-km Challenge will cover the most scenic trails on South Lantau, including 5 climbs for a cumulative elevation gain of 2,700 meters. This is a challenging trail run which requires adequate training to complete the full route within 12 hours. Training advice is available to help you successfully complete this challenge.
Starting time and location: Saturday March 16, 2013 at 9:00 am; Silvermine Beach, Mui Wo.
On-site check-in and bag drop will start at 8:00 am.
There are ferries from Central (Pier 6) or Buses from Tung Chung MTR.
For overseas participants, Mui Wo is located at 40min from the airport. Check the location on the map. We provide the list of hotels on Silvermine beach (start/end location), click here.
Course markings, checkpoints and map
The route will be marked with Pink ribbons and signs at intersections. There will be 5 checkpoints (see locations on map) with drinking water, electrolytes, and fruits (only water at the CP1).
